On September 30, 2009, a 7.6 magnitude earthquake struck the Indonesian island of Sumatra. The UN estimates that over 1,000 people were killed, over 3,000 injured, and over 200,000 houses were significantly damaged or destroyed.

Padang Parlamna, which is in a rural district, was considered the worst affected area—they had still not fully recovered from the tsunami of 2004.

MicroAid is raising $50,000 to help rebuild houses and replace lost tools in Padang.

100% of donations go to helping those in need.  Overhead is funded separately by the MicroAid board of directors.  Thank you.
